It will come as no surprise that I’m a big Star Trek fan. I wouldn’t go so far as calling myself a “trekkie”, but growing up, Star Trek was one of my favorite shows to watch. I’ve always loved sci-fi, and shows like The Twilight Zone that has a unique way of telling a moral, and I’ve always felt that Star Trek was one of the best at melding the two.

Personally, I’ve always favored TNG over the original series, but in my mind, there’s only two real definitive Star Trek shows, the first two. I could care less about all of the spin-offs that came afterwards, like Voyager and DS9. Over the past week, while I was held up in bed due to a bout of the flu, I rewatched practically the entire 7 seasons of TNG. And I have to say that my favorite episode is still the last, “All Good Things”. How could you not love an episode that involves multiple timelines, Q, and an Enterprise that has 3 nacells.

But beyond the series finale episode, I thought I’d list some of my other favorite episodes:

Apparently, the site feels that I’m more spontaneous, independent, and logical than it did yesterday, but tragically, it still considers me to be arrogant and less giving. There must be two to three questions from my past that is determining this.

Interestingly, OkCupid seems even more confident about my supposed arrogance, aggressiveness, and introversion. However, the site no longer believes that I’m independent, less organized, less compassionate, and less progressive. What’s strange though is that I don’t remember answering any questions dealing with being independent or organized. Compassion and progressiveness can be addressed through questions on ethics, lifestyle, and politics. But I’m baffled by the complete reversal on my perceived level of organization. Tragically, the site seems even more confident than ever that I’m less giving. Great! So now anyone visiting my profile will think I’m arrogant and selfish, both very attractive qualities in a date.

I’m going to continue experimenting with the questions on the site to see how much it changes, hoping to narrow down what causes these shifts.

One of the nice little features that the site offers that others don’t is a peak into the personality of the people you’re checking out. Apparently, they are able to do this by analyzing your answer to their questionnaire. So far, I’ve answered 251 questions, and I’m disconcerted to find out what their analysis shows:

Arrogant? Really? I would rephrase that as confident. Also, I can’t believe the site thinks I’m less organized and less giving than the average person. Apparently, I’m the most selfish person possible. I’m incredibly skeptical now about OK Cupid’s system. I can’t even remember answering any questions about charity or volunteerism.
