So I ran across a human interest story today about a 10-year-old girl that gave birth. Before reading this story, it never even occurred to me to wonder how young a girl can be before becoming pregnant. So this got me thinking about what the youngest possible age is to give birth. Surprisingly, the youngest recorded case of a girl having a child was a 5-year-old. Shocked but intrigued, this got me looking into the youngest birth ages, and onto bizarre births in general. In fact, there's an entire site dedicated to incredible births. The first thing that jumped out at me was the link for "Parasitic Twins". A truly horrifying condition, the poor girl pictured below suffering from this condition has a total of 8 limbs. Thankfully, upon further investigation, I learned that she received surgery to correct the condition and now is recovering well.
