I recently began to watch the Terence Malik film Tree of Life, and I was struck by the beautiful images that the filmmaker constructed for its beginning of life scenes. For 10 minutes, there's a sumptuous feast for the eyes. There's mostly abstract images that fill the screen to the sounds of an opera. I thought I'd include some of that beautiful moment here.
